“Symmetry takes a vested interest in our local future talent and I see so many budding professionals walk through our doors,” says Dan Wilhelms, Founder and Board Director of Symmetry. “I take a lot of pride in being able to make financing higher education a little easier for these hardworking scholars. They go the extra mile and it’s nice to see it pay off. Every available opportunity, whether it is an internship or scholarship, gives our young workforce confidence to succeed. I feel fortunate to be in a position where I am able to give back and, essentially, help these students get a leg up before entering their careers.”

Criteria for the award included sophomore standing or higher, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and brief statement essay discussing the students’ standing achievements and desired career path. At the end of the process, six of the candidates were selected for the company’s funded scholarship award.
