As cyber threats grow more dangerous and frequent, the once clear boundaries between SAP security,…
Last Thursday Symmetry, along with cyber security partner Dell SecureWorks hosted an expert webinar Don’t Get Hacked – How Confident are you with your level of IT protection? I had the opportunity to co-present the webinar along with long time cyber security expert Jim Rozycki from Dell SecureWorks, in case you missed it, you can view the entire recorded presentation.
Post webinar, I wanted to pull together a few comments that we received from attendees.
Many medium sized companies’ feel they are too small a target for hackers or do not have what hackers desire. The reality is no one is immune to hackers. Even our children are becoming victims as highlighted by VTech’s recent breach that exposed the data of 6.4 million children. From my conversations with manufacturers, some are not required to report breaches; however, they are aware of it happening. It makes them uneasy and they wonder when it will happen to them. Most are not prepared for it.
Even if you purchase the best cyber security technology or service, do you have the process and procedures with experience in place when they alert you to an incident? Is your team experienced? It does not make sense to budget for a staff that may never have to manage an incident. That is where my team and I come in. With many years of incident management, we can be your point for the SOC helping manage the SOC and your teams to mitigate incidents and/or findings from security technology.
