Industry Event Targets Growing Need for Increased Automation, Analytics, Reporting and Security for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) in SAP EnvironmentsChicago, IL — October 18, 2017 —
Symmetry hosted the industry’s premier security and GRC event for SAP customers – the 2017 SAP Security & GRC User Summit. Attendance at the second annual event doubled over the previous year as customers are increasingly looking to secure and automate the access controls, compliance reporting, and audit-readiness of their mission-critical SAP deployments.
Held at the Loews Chicago O’Hare, the event included presentations, demos and panel sessions with SAP and GRC experts providing market insights, best practices, and detailed use cases from customers. Key sessions from the event included:
- Fiori User Experience – Integrated Identify Management & HANA Provisioning
- Risk Analysis & Remediation for Fiori & S/4HANA
- Addressing Compliance & Audit Concerns
- Securing SAP HANA in the Cloud
- Managing Local Access for External Parties
“As critical as SAP deployments are to the on-going viability of so many companies, they are simultaneously creating a new burden as IT struggles with manual processes or complex and expensive solutions for maintaining proper access controls, reporting and ensuring their SAP environments are audit-ready,” said Scott Goolik, VP of Compliance and Security at Symmetry. “Recognizing that the SAP community turns to peers for counsel and guidance, we started the SAP Security & GRC Summit as an industry forum to exchange ideas, present best practices, learn from real-world use cases, and discuss new tools and solutions. Based on the growth in attendance, the event is clearly resonating with users and we’re excited to expand the program to make it an even richer and more in-depth experience for attendees next year.”
An industry leader in GRC for SAP environments, Symmetry’s ControlPanelGRC® software suite is focused on providing a comprehensive compliance automation solution for SAP environments that doesn’t involve a lengthy implementation time or a complicated training program. SAP security and controls consultants ensure that customers’ systems are managed according to industry standards, SAP best practices and auditor recommendations.
Symmetry will be posting all presentations from the event in its ControlPanelGRC User Summit Group on LinkedIn or customers can contact their Symmetry client manager for more details. Symmetry will host the third annual SAP & Security and GRC Summit next October with specific details, location, and registration information to be announced in early 2018.
